Filos - Events & Functions

Thank you for your enquiry regarding functions and conferencing.
As a community restaurant serving food to the public it will our great pleasure to cater your every need and make your occasion memorable. We custom make packages to suit both your function needs as well as budget for weddings, birthdays, product launches and corporate events. We have ample outdoor space for water activities as well as a jumping castle on site and an childrens play area. Our exclusive venue offers ample shaded outdoor seating aswell as indoor seating. Our kitchen is able to cater for breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch or platters & we also offer a kiddies menu with friendly staff to assist throughout the day.

Venue hire shall be charged for the hall or area you choose. This is a set fee for the entire duration of your function until 1a.m. An extra hour is available at a set fee until 2 a.m when the venue will close.
The venue shall be available to you from the morning of your function for any set ups. Alternatively if there are no activities the day before arrangements can be made at no additional costs

Venue (Floor Plans Available)

The main hall seats 450 guests’ dinner and dance with dimensions of
35 m x 18 m and ceiling height of 4 m.
Kykkos hall seats 250 guests’ dinner and dance with dimensions of
19 m x 15 m and ceiling height of 4 m.

Please note that all halls are NON-SMOKING, and smoking is only allowed outside.

No breaking of plates or burning whiskey allowed unless special arrangements have been made.
We shall not tolerate any forms of bad behavior and/or disrespect to property or staff.
We are not responsible for any loss or damages or breakages which may occur on the premises. Failure to adhere to any of the above rules and regulations will result in Filos reserving the right to stop the function immediately.

Staff

We assign 1 waiter for every 10 guests @ R30.00 per hour per waiter and 1 barmen for approximately 80 guests depending on bar requirements.

Table Covers

Table clothes, overlays, napkins, chair covers will be at your own cost and will be required to be delivered the day before function/ conference.

Guest Lists

All guest lists and final seating arrangements are to be completed and given to us 24 hours prior to function/ conference in alphabetical and table format. Filos will supply a registration table for seating cards.
Final numbers to be confirmed 72 hours prior to function/ conference.

Catering

We have a variety of menus that may be adjusted to suit your needs and preferences.

Bar

Corkage applies to the following:

Champagne
Whiskey
Wine

Please advise well in advance if there is a beverage/brand which you prefer which does not appear on the bar list so that arrangements can be made.

Account

Only once you have confirmed and booked your date we will require a non-refundable deposit of 25% to secure your booking and venue. 75% (the balance) is due 1 week prior to the function. Any extras are to be settled 72 hours prior to the function. Bar tabs to be settled at the end of the function.Beverages will be charged upon consumption as per the clients’ instruction.All prices are correct and time of going to print and are subject to change without prior notice.All prices quoted are excluding of VAT.

Additional Costs:

All beverages, telephone calls, faxes, special dietary requirements and any other extras not included in the above packages and will be charged on consumption which is to be settled upon departure.
